Hi, I'm Lisa Waker
I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor as well as a Mental Health & Mindset Coach. I’m an accredited member with The National Counselling Society (NCS) a registrant of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work to their code of ethics.
I am client as well as goal focused, this means that we work together to find a solution to your problem that works for you, I do not offer a one size fits all type therapy, I support you as a client and we work towards an end goal so that you can decide on what you want to achieve from your therapy and from each session.
With my extensive knowledge and experience in various areas of mental health, I am equipped to help my clients overcome the challenges they are facing in their life. I am fully committed to providing the highest quality of service to my clients.
As a Counsellor and Mindset coach, I am dedicated to helping individuals, groups, business owners, and executives achieve their goals by providing a safe space to offer guidance, support, and accountability.
I have been a counsellor since 2012, working initially with individuals in my Private Practice ‘The Therapy Room’ and then expanding into relationship therapy.
It all started from quite a young age, I was that girl at school that everyone would confide in. I have always been fascinated by the human story and I think people sense that.
I have a wealth of experience working with people from all backgrounds. I’ve worked for our amazing military services, cleaned toilets, worked in a tattoo studio, waited on tables and ran my own driving school! All of this helping me to engage with the clients that I work with.
I have not only worked within Secondary School and University settings as a counsellor, but the charity sector to, including 2 Wish, The Jacob Abraham Foundation and LTMMH (Let’s Talk Men’s Mental Health)
